Cambelts

It’s really important to have your cambelt checked annually as if you don’t get it replaced when required, it could cost you a lot of money in engine repairs. If you’ve noticed a lack of power in your engine or slow pick-up, it could be a sign that your cambelt has stretched. If it snaps, it will cause very expensive damage to your engine. We have the equipment and experience to check and if necessary, replace your cambelt. Don’t delay, call Berwick Service Station today.

What does the cambelt do?

The cambelt synchronises the rotation of the crankshaft and the camshaft so that the engine valves open and close at the right times.

How often should I change my cambelt?

Most manufacturers recommend a cambelt change every 40,000 to 60,000 miles or roughly every 5 years.

Berwick Service Station provide dealer level standards of repair and maintenance for all makes and models of car, and specialise in classic car repair and restoration.
